SVP and Chief Strategy Officer
Mr. Weiss joined Microfinance International after serving as Executive Vice President at MicroManos Corporation, a human resources outsourcer supporting firms with immigrant workforces where he managed corporate affairs and led efforts to develop the initial client base – including Fortune 500 companies – when the company was a start-up.
Prior to MicroManos, Mr. Weiss was a financial consultant and Manager of Government Affairs and Strategic Alliances at Walton Management Services, Inc. In this capacity he initiated a practice area enabling the firm to assist clients with obtaining government funding for corporate development activities. He was also a Woodrow Wilson Fellow in the U.S. Department of State’s Office of the Special Advisor to the President and Secretary of State for Kosovo and Dayton Implementation.
Mr. Weiss has been a speaker at conferences of the Federal Reserve Bank, FDIC, World Bank, Money Transmitter Regulators Association, and Harvard Business School. He earned his M.A. in International Affairs with a concentration in Strategic Management from the George Washington University, after graduating summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.A. in Political Science.
