Takatoshi Kamezawa is in charge of managing MFIC’s business in Latin America and Asia. He is also responsible for developing innovative new remittance based products and services for the company.Previously, Mr. Kamezawa assumed the position of Senior Investment Officer for International Finance Corporation where he was responsible for developing remittance-related strategies and businesses for the IFC in Latin America and Africa, including structuring of diversified payment rights securitization transactions. He also managed relationship with leading banks and microfinance institutions in the LAC region. Prior to IFC, Mr. Kamezawa worked at the Inter-American Development Bank, where he pioneered in developing new remittance-based businesses and financing scheme with remittances. Mr. Kamezawa introduced a new financing scheme of remittance-back loan facility for banks in the LAC region and contributed to develop remittance backed mortgage loan programs for Ecuador, El Salvador, and Mexico.
Mr. Kamezawa also worked in the Philippines as an Investment Officer of the Asian Development Bank at Private sector Department. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). A Japanese national, he is fluent in English, Spanish and Japanese.
